Saab, a Sweden-based protection and safety firm, introduced that it has acquired an order from Airbus Defence and Area for the Arexis Digital Warfare (EW) sensor suite for the German Air Power’s Eurofighter EK variant.
The contract, spanning from 2024 to 2026, marks a big step in bolstering airborne digital warfare capabilities.
The number of Saab’s Arexis sensor suite for the Eurofighter EK was introduced by the German protection procurement workplace in June 2023, signaling the graduation of the preliminary part of Saab’s supply for this program. Below this contract, Saab will equip 15 Eurofighters with the Arexis suite, changing the growing old Twister ECR plane slated for decommissioning by 2030.
